About Us

What We Believe

At Faith Baptist Church, we are committed to the study and teaching of the Holy Bible to grow in our personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are committed to studying scripture as it is written, learning Greek/Hebrew language, and educating ourselves on biblical history in an expository manner in order to fully understand the meaning of the Word of God. We believe that strong families are the foundation of the church, and we seek to edify each one personally and as a family. We believe that a close relationship with God requires studying His word, constant prayer, regular fellowship, and fervent worship- our goal is to  offer a variety of classes, meetings and services to help you grow in your personal relationship with Him. As a church family, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, we engage to walk together in Christian love, seek the salvation of others, walk circumspectly in the world, be just and faithful in our dealings, advance the kingdom of our Savior, watch over one another in brotherly love, aid and remember each other in prayer, and cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling, word and deed.

Pastor Brett W. Dorsey

Pastor Dorsey

Pastor Brett Dorsey has been preaching at Faith Baptist Church since April 2017. Before receiving the call to lead the church as pastor, Brett had been the music director at several other churches in Warren, Ohio where he was born and raised. He also started his own fishing charter business in Ashtabula and is a licensed US Captain. His interest in serving the Lord began at a young age while watching his grandfather in the pulpit. Pastor Dorsey was religiously educated throughout his life by his grandfather and eventually went on to study at Hiram College. Pastor is committed to studying and teaching the word of God and has been inspired by notable teachers such as Charles Spurgeon, John MacArthur, and Erwin Lutzer among others. When he is not serving the church, pastor enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fishing for walleye on Lake Erie, hunting with his nephews, and working on the family farm.
